I am very excited to announce the launch of a new site for Ma Purdy, a social justice educator and ceremonial officiant based in Iowa. The new website stands not only an information portal for all of Ma Purdy's services, but also a resource for the LGBT community.

Ma Purdy approached Shannon in need of a logo and website that would accurately represent her as an innovative leader in the LGBT community. A caretaker at heart, Ma has dedicated her professional career to helping others as an advocate, educator and ally for the LGBT community. Ma needed a site that would represent her wide range of services and differentiate her approach from her competition.

To accommodate all of Ma Purdy's needs, I designed and developed a dynamic website using WordPress. WordPress is an open-source content management system (CMS) that is used on a large scale to build out the back-end of a variety of industry websites including those with commercial, political and personal uses. The WordPress CMS  allows Ma to update content on a regular basis with ease.

About Ma Purdy: With a Masters in Education, Ma is an Ally trainer and development presenter as well as an instructor at Iowa State University, working to train current and future teachers on making schools safe for LGBT students. In addition to her work as an educator, Ma also supports the LGBT community through her roles as a ceremonial officiant specializing in same sex weddings.
